Straight from a business developer: why Avon isn't the same as owning business but better.
Why I sell Avon and know it is the best fit for me.
- I DON'T PAY RETAIL RENT, Worker's Comp, Employee Benefits and Insurance.
- I can deduct part of my mortgage because I use part of my house only for Avon.
- I DON'T HAVE TO CREATE THE CATALOG OR PAY THE MODELS, PHOTOGRAPHER, MAKE-UP ARTISTS, OR FIND AND PAY FOR SET LOCATIONS.
- I don't have to do parties.
- I DON'T HAVE TO PAY UP FRONT.
- I DON"T have to carry any Inventory. I choose to carry best sellers, but I CHOOSE to,not have to.
- Shipping is always the same no matter how many boxes come to my door.
- I CAN MAKE UP TO 50% COMMISSION AND SO CAN ANYONE ELSE. THAT'S 50 NOT 40.
- If something doesn't sell I'm not stuck with it, Avon is. Occasionally you will find old jewelry or shoes at closeout stores. That's because Avon took a risk (a risk I didn't have to take myself) and it didn't go well. ALL business do that just look at the recent TJ Maxx/ROSS/Marshall's tv ad.
- ALL OF THE TRAINING IS FREE, GOT THAT FREE!
- Avon has been in the direct selling business for over 120 years and even if I wanted to go start my own business from the ground up I'd want to spend more time with Avon learning the ropes.
